Registration Guidelines

Notice of Possible Changes in Program Guide

The Park District staff has made every effort to prepare this program guide as accurately as possible. The policies, procedures, requirements, programs, fees, and facility availability contained in this program guide represent the Park District’s programs and policies at the time of publication. Sometimes circumstances may require changes be made (including fees, locations, times, etc.) after the program guide publication but prior to program commencement or facility operation.

In order to provide the best services, programs, and facilities to the public, the Park District reserves the right to add, change, modify, or delete any programs and policies after they have been published or when enrollments warrant. The Park District will make a reasonable effort to give prompt public notice of any material changes in the programs and policies, but such notice cannot be assured. We apologize for any inconvenience these adjustments may cause. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

Register By Dates / How to Avoid Late Fees

The register by (Reg. By) date indicates the last day registration will be taken for programs. Any registrations accepted after the register by (Reg. By) date will be charged a $5 late fee, unless otherwise noted.

Resident / Nonresident Fee Structure

A Lisle Park District resident applies to those persons residing within the boundaries of the Lisle Park District, as well as immediate family members living within that household. The fees listed in this brochure are for Lisle Park District Residents (R) and Nonresidents (NR).

RESIDENT VERIFICATION: Proof of residency will be required to receive the resident rate for registration in the new system. Stop by the Lisle Recreation Center located at 1925 Ohio Street in Lisle, Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm, to verify your residency with the following documentation: Valid Photo ID and 1 of the following Tax Bill, Lease, or Utility Bill. Non-Sufficient Funds

There will be a $25 service charge assessed for all electronic funds transfer (EFT) and checks returned for non-sufficient funds.

Cancellation & Refund of Programs

The Park District reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine classes, or change instructors. Programs that do not reach the minimum enrollment numbers will be cancelled. Cancellation of programs is made three days prior to the program start date, whenever possible. In the event that the Park District cancels a program, the participant will receive a full refund. If a program is cancelled in mid-session, a prorated refund will be issued. If you registered online, the processing fee is non-refundable.

No refunds will be made once a program has begun unless the Park District has altered or cancelled a program, or if the “Satisfaction Guaranteed” policy is implemented. If you need to drop-out of a program there will be a service fee of $5 to cover the cost of processing a refund. The Park District must be notified of cancellation by the register by (Reg. By) date for that program. Cancellations made after the register by (Reg. By) date are subject to a $5 service fee, plus any costs incurred by the park district. Cancellations made with less than a 24-hour notice will not be able to receive a refund.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

The Lisle Park District is committed to providing the best quality programs to our participants. If you are not completely satisfied with the program after the first class, just give us a call. We will send you a “Dissatisfied Refund Form” to be filled out and returned, and after review, we can either provide you a credit that can be applied to another program, or issue you a full refund. It is that easy. Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply to trips and special events. Why are we doing this? We want all of our participants to get their money’s worth from our programming. We are convinced that what we offer is of the highest quality, and we back that with a guarantee. Your comments and suggestions are valued.

Waiver of Liability

To participate in any Lisle Park District program, you must sign a waiver releasing the Park District of any liability. The Park District assumes no liability for personal injuries or for loss of personal property while attending Lisle Park District programs.

Photo/Video Disclaimer

All registrants and participants permit the taking of photos and videos of themselves and their children during Park District programs for publicizing recreation opportunities in our print, online and social media marketing. If you do not want photos of yourself or your children taken, please let the photographer know at the program.

Public parks and facilities belonging to the Lisle Park District may be under video surveillance.

Insurance - Are You Covered?

The Lisle Park District does not carry medical, accident, or loss of personal property insurance for program participants, as the cost would make the program fees prohibitive. Please review your own personal health insurance plan to be certain that you and your family have proper coverage.

Behavior Management Policy

All participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. Our guidelines help make all of our programs safe and enjoyable for all participants.

Program Guide

We are working hard to offer services that best reflect the most current safety and government mandates. Due to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic and the need to provide accurate information to our valued patrons, our Seasonal Program Guide will be available online only. This will reduce the potential for outdated information and help keep you informed of the various services available to you. Please note that printed copies will not be mailed to homes of residents. Thank you in advance for your understanding and support. We look forward to being active together!

ADA Accommodations

The Lisle Park District welcomes and supports the participation of individuals with special needs in all programs, activities and services. The Lisle Park District will do what is reasonably possible to satisfy those needs.

Early registration along with a request for ADA accommodation or inclusion assistance in any program is required at the time of registration and at least two weeks prior to the program start date. This includes, but is not limited to Inclusion Aides, Sign Language Interpreters, Adaptive Equipment and Accessible Transportation.
