Cost Recovery

In 2014, the Lisle Park District undertook a Cost Recovery, Resource Allocation and Revenue Enhancement Study. The purpose of this endeavor is to maximize cost recovery while reducing the district's reliance on tax dollars. The process included a review and assessment of services, programs and facilities; categorization of services based upon the level of community versus individual benefit; identification of direct and indirect costs; and an evaluation of current pricing methods. This study furthers the district's intent to continually align district resources based on community values.

The completed study was presented and adopted in April 2015 and will guide the future management of the district's services, serve as the foundation for setting fees and charges, and aid in identifying opportunities for alternative funding sources.
