Bring your basket and flashlight and join us for fun in the dark! Remember the good ol’ days when you were little enough to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt? Well here’s your chance with an added twist!

  • Children currently enrolled in grades 6-9 will hunt for candy stuffed eggs in the dark.
  • Grab your flashlight and basket.
  • Remember to dress warm for the weather.

Lisle's Largest Free Paper Shred Event

SATURDAY, APRIL 20 from 9:00am-12:00 Noon
Lisle High School Parking Lot - 1800 Short Street, Lisle

On Saturday, April 20 the Lisle Park District will host our annual Shred Event. Drive-up and drop off documents while an on-site industrial shredder destroys the documents into high-security confetti-size pieces. Event staff will help remove the bags from your vehicles and load them into the shredding truck where they will be destroyed. All shredded material is recycled and you save 17 trees for every ton of paper recycled.

Limit of 5 Paper Bags Per Car, No Exceptions. Please bring your paper items ONLY in brown paper bags. Absolutely NO cardboard boxes or plastic bags will be accepted for shredding.

SHREDDER WILL ACCEPT: Documents with paper clips, staples or binder clips, junk mail, envelopes, cancelled checks, etc.

SHREDDER WILL NOT ACCEPT: Plastic, binders, cardboard or other non-paper items.

30th Annual Road Rally

Looking for an adventure? Join us for our 33rd Annual Road Rally!

Grab your neighbors and friends to create a team of 4-6 adults per vehicle. You will get a map and bag of clues; you’ll need teamwork, logic and luck to stay on track. Some clues are helpful while others are designed to throw you off course. This exciting and somewhat physically challenging 4-hour scavenger hunt on wheels will test your mind, body and teamwork, so put on your thinking caps and start your engines! At the completion of the rally, teams meet for an awards presentation and socialize at a pizza dinner. Captain’s letters are emailed the week prior to the event.

This fun-filled event is coordinated with the Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Naperville & Woodridge Park Districts.

Lisle-Woodridge Fire Fighters Union's 28th Annual Youth / Adult Fishing Derby

The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Fighters Union is pleased to announce their 31st Annual Youth / Adult Fishing Derby. Prizes will be awarded every hour of fishing for the largest catch in each of the six fish game categories. At the conclusion of the derby, awards will be presented for the overall largest catch in each category. Only youths are eligible for prizes and awards. All children must have adult supervision.

You are encouraged to pre-register at the Lisle Park District. All youths pre-registered by Saturday, May 11 are guaranteed an official derby t-shirt. Additional t-shirts may be available for those registering after the deadline or on derby day. Registration will be taken on May 25 from 6:00-6:45am.

Live bait (worms) will be sold at the derby, as well as food, snacks, and hot and cold beverages. Participants and their families will be eligible for raffle prizes throughout the event.

Family Fun Fest

Due to overwhelming response last year, we’re bringing Down and Dirty Day back this summer! Whether you’ve heard of this event or not, it is definitely one you don’t want to miss! We will provide the mud, and we’ll play some of the muddiest games you’ve ever played. Come in your oldest clothes and prepare to get dirty. We will provide hoses for cleaning up as much as we can. We suggest you bring a towel and a garbage bag to sit on for your car ride home!

*The South Shelter is located off Short Street just west of the Lisle Police Department adjacent to the pond.

Camping, Nature Activity, S'mores, Games, Crafts...A Night of Family Fun! Grab your camping gear and get ready for an evening under the stars in Community Park! This overnight campout will be a night of family fun!

Please Note: All children must be accompanied by an adult. (No more than 3 children per each adult). Tents and other camping gear will NOT be provided. All ages are welcome!
