Pumpkin Carving Contest

All Ages   |   Prizes Awarded by Age Group

Kids and adults are welcome to participate! Show us your carving skills for a chance to win prizes.

Carve your pumpkin any time between October 1-29. Once carved, take 2 photos — a picture of just your pumpkin and a picture of you with your pumpkin. Email Erica at ewise@lisleparkdistrict.org both pictures by Saturday, October 30. Our panel of experts will judge all entries and winners will be chosen. Prizes will be awarded in each age group. We can't wait to see your awesome jack-o-lantern masterpieces!

Creature Double Feature

Saturday, October 9 at 7:00pm SHARP!
Lisle Community Park, Van Kampen Stage - 1800 Short St.


BEETLEJUICE at 7:00pm
GHOSTBUSTERS at 8:30pm

Free Event   |   All Ages   |   No Registration

Join us at the Van Kampen Stage in Community Park while we show a Creature Double Feature outside on the big screen. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks! Concessions will not be sold at the event.


 
Scarecrow Scramble

Register today for the Scarecrow Scramble 5K!

REGISTER EARLY & SAVE! The Scarecrow Scramble will be held in person this year, including the Tot Dash, Youth Run, and 5K. There is also the option to sign up for the Virtual 5K and run the Scarecrow Scramble in your own neighborhood.

SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER BY OCTOBER 11. The Scarecrow Scramble relies on the help of volunteers from the local community. Are you looking to get involved? Become a Scarecrow Scramble volunteer! Volunteers are needed between 1:00-9:00pm the day of the race and will receive at Boo Crew T-shirt, pizza and pop or water.

All proceeds for this event will benefit the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation Scholarship Fund & Lisle Teens with Character Program

Monster Madness

PRE-REGISTRATION RECOMMENDED

First 300 registrants guaranteed a prize & pumpkin.


Saturday, October 23 from 4:00-7:00pm
Woodglenn Park - 6400 Golfview Road, Lisle


Ages 10 & Under   |   $20 Per Child / Wristband

Children may not share a wristband. Wristbands will be distributed at event check-in.

Come and enjoy a festive autumn fun fair filled with friendly games, ghouls, animals and goodies! Visit the pumpkin patch and the petting zoo. Walk through the new 'not-so-scary' haunted trail, enjoy a snack at the 'Creepy Café,' and get a prize bag full of Halloween goodies. Be sure to dress up in your Halloween costume!


Each wristband includes unlimited play on the following:

Anyone in 6th grade or older wishing to volunteer for Monster Madness, please download and fill out our Monster Madness volunteer waiver form*, or contact Erica Wise at ewise@lisleparkdistrict.org. All volunteers will receive a Monster Madness t-shirt.

 

*Please Note: The only volunteer form that will be accepted for this event is the Monster Monster Waiver Form (found below). The Lisle Park District Volunteer Form will not be accepted.

Candy Cane Hunt

Saturday, December 11
Lisle Community Park - 1825 Short Street

Ages 2 & Under – 10:00am Start
Ages 3-5 & 6-10 – 10:15-11:00am

Pre-registration Required

Candy Cane Hunt

  • For children ages 10 & under
  • Hunt is divided by age group (2 & under, 3-5, 6-10) in different areas of Lisle Community Park
  • Ages 2 & under will hunt for candy canes on the Lisle High School football field
  • Both age groups 3-5 & 6-10 will be given a map to hunt for candy canes around Community Park in a scavenger hunt style
  • Ages 3-10 can begin arriving at 10:15am to check-in. Once you have your map and your goodie bag, you can begin hunting! Check-in table closes at 11:00am.
  • A bag will be provided for collecting your candy canes. One of Santa's elves will be waiting at the check-in table with your bag.
  • A special visitor from the North Pole will be stopping by to hear your Christmas wishes!

A Visit From Santa & Mrs. Claus

Saturday, December 18 from 10:00am - 3:00pm

Attention Lisle Park District Residents - Sign up for a 15-minute personal visit to your home (outside only)!

Santa and Mrs. Claus will pose for photos, listen to wish lists, provide a treat and maybe even sing a song or two! Visits will be scheduled within a set time frame, and patrons will be notified a week in advance of their scheduled time slot. Since Santa is very busy this time of year, we ask that only children who live at the address are present.
