SAFETY PROCEDURES:
Based on the governor's new Executive Order, updated state guidance for the Bridge Phase of the Restore Illinois Plan, and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Lisle Park District is now adhering to new policies regarding face coverings and social distancing.

Under the Bridge Phase guidelines, only those fully vaccinated are no longer required to wear facial coverings for many activities. You are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the administration of the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. By entering the facility without a face covering, you are acknowledging that you have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

The Park District still encourages all patrons to continue using face coverings indoors, as well as outdoors, when social distancing of at least six (6) feet is not possible. You will be notified of specific safety procedures prior to attending class.



CLASS LOCATIONS:
Since moving into Phase 5, some classes have been moved from outdoors to indoors. For outdoor classes, you will be contacted prior to class if the location changes due to weather. ZOOM classes will still be offered for those who are not comfortable working out in person.



HOW TO REGISTER:
Registration will open one week prior to the start of each session. You can register for the full session or for a single class anytime throughout the session. If a class has not reached the minimum enrollment before the start date, it may be cancelled.

Using Vinyasa flow, the yoga postures instructed in this class consist of blending balance, strength and flexibility with an emphasis on breath and body movement, and the transition between poses. This allows us to bring harmony between body and mind. The class moves through seated, standing, kneeling and recline positions. Just about anyone can practice yoga since this user-friendly class puts an emphasis on advancing slowly and safely by using modifications depending on an individual’s ability. Group Training

Group training combines the benefits of one-on-one training with the motivation of working in a group. You will push yourself farther training with others than you ever would on your own. The class combines endurance and strength training using body weight and various types of equipment, including resistance bands, dumbbells, stability balls, TRX suspension trainer, and more!

The Mix

This all-inclusive format will have something for everybody, at all levels of fitness. Each week will be different from the last while incorporating all muscle groups with strength training, including weights and cardio with an emphasis on the core. Come mix it up with us! Any needed equipment will be emailed out before class. Please have a mat or other soft surface for floor exercises.

Cycle Mix

SENIOR FITNESS

Strength & Bone Density

There is scientific evidence that shows the benefits of weight-bearing exercise on bone density. We reach peak bone density in our twenties and begin to lose it in our thirties. This is especially true without proper exercise, diet and with a family history of osteoporosis. This class takes you through a wide variety of light weight bearing exercises to help you stay strong and healthy. Our instructor Holly Ramsdell is certified in senior fitness and has enjoyed teaching seniors since 2009.

Gentle Yoga (formerly Senior Yoga)

Sign up to join this very popular yoga class! The benefits of yoga include improved strength, flexibility, and balance. A chair will be used for the first half of the class to perform various yoga poses. The second half of the class will include poses on the floor. Participants using the floor should use a yoga mat. You do not need to participate in the floor exercise to join this class.

ZUMBA® Gold is for active older adults who are looking for a modified ZUMBA® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity.
