Group Training Classes

Group Training

Group training combines the benefits of one-on-one training with the camaraderie and motivation of working in a group. You will push yourself farther training with others than you ever would on your own. The class combines endurance and strength training using body weight and various types of equipment, including resistance bands, dumbbells, stability balls, TRX suspension trainer and more!

Tabata Training

Location: Lisle Recreation Center, Athletic Space • 1925 Ohio Street, Lisle
Tabata training is new type of high intensity interval training designed to get your heart rate up in that anaerobic zone for short periods of time. The reason? This type of workout helps you burn more calories both during and after your workouts. Tabata training follows a specific format of 20-seconds on, 10-seconds off, in 4-minute increments, after which a longer rest period is provided. Although this is a high intensity format, modifications are made for those just looking for something different! This is a fun and different approach to exercise and the time will fly by. Give it a try!

Strength Training With Abs

Location: Woodridge Community Center - 2600 Center Drive, Woodridge
This strength training class is designed to increase your metabolism and help with muscle endurance by lifting weights. This intense but easy to follow class will give you a total body workout. This class is great for burning fat, and will have you feeling stronger by the end of the session. Please bring a mat to class.

The Mix

Cycle Mix

Get the best of both worlds! This class will combine our regular Cycling class with upper body strength and abs. Participants will cycle for 30 minutes and maximize results with 15 minutes of effective strength exercises.

Yoga

Location: Lisle Community Center, Room C - 1825 Short Street, Lisle
Instruction for this class will include asana and vinyasa posture sequences in which relaxation/meditation techniques are introduced as an integral part of yoga philosophy and practice. Just about anyone can practice yoga because there is an emphasis on advancing gradually, sensibly, and safely. These classes are for both beginner and returning students. This class is a highly effective way to shape up, slim down, and feel great. The effective mind-body approach to exercise combines deep breathing techniques with core conditioning exercises. Toning

Resistance Training for Seniors

This class combines resistance tools such as resistance bands, exercise balls and weights for a full-body workout. Build strength, flexibility and core stability with regular resistance training. Strength & Bone Density

Location: Lisle Recreation Center Athletic Space - 1925 Ohio Street, Lisle
There is scientific evidence that shows the benefits of weight-bearing exercise on bone density. We reach peak bone density in our twenties and begin to lose it in our thirties. This is especially true without proper exercise, diet and with a family history of osteoporosis. This class takes you through a wide variety of light weight bearing exercises to help you stay strong and healthy. ZUMBA® Gold is for active older adults who are looking for a modified ZUMBA® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity.
